I know that feeling when thoughts finally click into place and make sense. I got back into riding during lockdown, bought a dual suspension mtb and threw myself over some jumps for the first time in years. Loved it, but realised after a while that it was the gruelling ride to and from the spots that I actually enjoyed more. Going to get a gravel bike next, keen to make it out to Warburton and do some bike packing now too! Great read, and keen for more archive dives 🤌🏼

The bike packing style is great in terms of being able to make photographs over long distances too. I often see things while I’m out running but it’s so fleeting. So with the bike I can easily stop and have a camera better than my phone with me.

I made the switch from mostly running to mostly biking (also gravel) two years ago. It’s opened up a whole new world for me, including wild camping. Buying bike gear is also a fun hobby. Lovely photos, as always.

I'm really interested in the more adventure/leisurely side of cycling. Being able to stop in places, camp, or stay in new towns etc. We'll see where I go with it.

Beautiful photos as ever Ben. I feel like I'm going through the opposite transition, coming from cycling and getting into running, so it's fun to hear a similar but different perspective.

Might need to trade some tips with you! I just bought a new gravel bike to get out a bit more.
